Harvest Kids Director

It All Begins Here

The Harvest Kids Director will build fun, safe, relational environments led by empowered leaders who partner with families to help kids (birth –  5th grade) know and follow Jesus.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrate a track record of spiritual maturity and character consistent with the biblical requirements for leadership.

• Experience working with children and teams of adult volunteers in a church setting with a track record of leading teams through healthy ministry growth and progress.

• Ability to build, develop, and maintain teams.

• Received education and training that has equipped them for vocational ministry in a large ministry context.

• Agree with and embrace the culture, vision, values, pathway, leadership distinctives, and doctrinal statement of Harvest Community Church.

• Strategic in nature, with the ability to see and implement the steps that it takes to get from here to there.

• Be self-motivated, not needing micromanagement, yet love to live life with a team.

• Communicate church-wide with a high level of professionalism.

• Fluency in both English and Spanish preferred, but not required.


Job Responsibilities:

• Execute the vision of Harvest Kids through strategic planning, implementation and alignment with NextGen Philosophy, ongoing evaluation of Harvest Kids environments, and oversight of the ministry budget.

• Empower teams to lead the Harvest Kids by creating a culture of leadership, recruitment, development, training, and reproduction.

• Develop Leaders of Leaders to lead specific areas of the ministry.

• Encourage Harvest Kids team members through prayer, spiritual direction and development of a fun, creative and relational team environment.

• Meets with Pastor of Family Ministries & Leadership Development to develop and review goals and vision casting through the power and direction of the Holy Spirit.

• Build and leverage momentum within Harvest Kids to reach the surrounding community with the gospel through a personal, unrelenting and catalytic passion for the mission to help people know Jesus, grow in faith, and live with purpose.

• Ensure that curriculum used for all programming aligns with Harvest Community Church’s vision and is Biblically sound.

• Participate in regular job performance reviews and evaluations.


Commitment & Compensation:

Total Weekly Commitment: 15-20 hours/week

Compensation: $20/hour
